A group of 15 women from our association Tatweer wa Nahda has been trained to the recycling of car tires.
These tires are abundant in our area, since we live in a refurbishing, dismantling and recylcing hub, processing a diversity of mechanical, electric and electronic goods, including vehicles.
Tires are however of limited value and accumulate in and around scrapyards, as well as along fields and dump sites.
Through this training, we hope to achieve two goals, the first is to provide job opportunities for women in our association, and the second is to keep our environment clean.
The training to recycle tires, including the technical steps of cutting, assembling, painting, wrapping and varnishing tires, has been conducted in coordination with the Environmental Quality Authority, in the Nablus office of Mr. Ayman Abed Rabbo.
We have now mastered the skills of recycling tires and have equipped an office in the West Line, to develop this activity and several production lines, from flower beds, and stools, to tables and swings.
Our team is producing wonderful shapes!
