Working with the YWCA, Tatweer has implemented several activities in the Hebron Governorate to empower women by promoting safe spaces and creating leadership opportunities that enable them to implement community initiatives that meet their needs.
Women and girls received capacity building on various topics with the support of the YWCA. It was an honour to receive their team in Deir Samit/Al Simya, generating fruitful discussions and increased confidence.
Tatweer wa Nahda also connected the project to the municipality of Deis Samit/Alsymia. The mayor emphasized the importance of women’s role and the need for the municipality to support them in all spheres. He reaffirmed his readiness to cooperate with any organizations that is interested to work with the municipality in this direction.
With the support of the YWCA and the Basmah project, Tatweer wa Nahda also distributed food packages to families and contributed to a health campaign centred on diabetes and blood sugar monitoring. The Tatweer team was trained to perform in situ test.
Furthermore, the Safe Space Project in collaboration with YWCA in Palestine, renovated the restroom within the association and trained women in writing and implementing initiatives.
The Tatweer team is grateful for YMCA’s support and the visits of Raghad Takatqa in Deir Samit.
